Unable to meet the CCA’s expectation of you (e.g. skills, dedication, attendance)

Possible CAUSES

  1. You do not dedicate time and effort to your CCA.

  2. Lack of skills in that particular area

  3. You lack passion for your CCA.

As a RESULT

> You are unwilling to improve your skills in that area, mainly because you do not have interest in your CCA.

> You are reluctant to go for training due to lack of passion and determination.

> You feel that CCA is a waste of time and effort.

the Negative Emotion

Disappointed and Frustrated when CCA does not select you for competition or promotion to another rank (UG)

Disappointed when your CCA teachers constantly reprimand you.

What you CAN DO

1) Learn to develop an interest in your CCA.

With a positive view on your CCA, you will be more enthusiastic about CCA and be more willing to put more time and effort in your CCA.

You are then able to improve on your skills.

2) Discipline yourself to go for CCA on time regularly.

For instance, ask your friends to remind you to go for CCA on time.

Do not go late for CCA, or even skip CCA because of an invalid reason.

Keep in mind that CCA is another important commitment that you have to spend time on. Do not only focus on academics.

3) Change your attitude towards CCA and learn to be more open.

Cherish the moment you have in your CCA as there are only four years of it.

You will then be more willing to give your best in your CCA.

Be more positive about your CCA as it takes up a lot of time of your school life.

4) Choose the right CCA (a CCA that you have interest in).

There is no use if you select a CCA that you dread as no matter what, you will never dedicate your time and effort to your CCA.

By choosing the right CCA that you like, you are more willing to spend time and effort to improve on yourself in that area.

5) Get advice from your friends on how to improve on your skills.

Since your friends are from the same CCA, they will have tips and suggestions for you to improve yourself in that area.
