the Negative Emotion

Disappointed when one’s results are not up to expectations

Frustrated when you constantly fail your tests/exams

What you CAN DO

1) Learn to sort out your priorities and manage your time well.

Complete your work as early as possible.

It is not advisable to rush work and complete it last minute as it will always result in slipshod work.

2) Revise beforehand for the tests/exams.

When the tests or exams draw near, start revising for them at least a few week before.

Do not rush your revision at the last minute as it is not healthy to cram everything in your mind the day before the test or exam.

3) Set your expectations to be realistic and achievable for you.

For instance, if you achieved a B4 for a certain subject this term, aim for a B3 the next term.

Plan your goals for your subject grades realistically.

4) Pay attention in class and take note of the important concepts during lessons.

Clarify your doubts in class as well.

In this way, you will be able to understand the concepts and revise them more efficiently.

5) Seek help from your friends and teachers.

Ask them for advice on how to revise effectively and improve on your test results.

They will understand your struggles and help you based on them.

6) Learn to manage your time during the tests/exams.

When your teacher gives you worksheets and practice papers, try to time yourself.

Practise time management when doing your assignments.
