Unable to promote to the next rank in UG (NCC, NPCC etc.)

Possible CAUSES

  1. Lack of passion for your CCA

  2. Lack of determination during training

As a RESULT

> Unable to meet CCA’s expectations of you in terms of attendance. For instance, your attendance in CCA is below 75%, which is the minimum required.

> In terms of skills, you do not meet your CCA's expectations.

> You lack dedication to your CCA and you are not willing to give your best during training.

the Negative Emotion

Disappointed when you are not selected to be promoted

Frustrated when you are not selected to be promoted after years of trying.

What you CAN DO

1) Develop a passion for your UG CCA.

When you possess an interest in your CCA, you will enjoy your CCA more and will be more willing to put in more effort in your CCA.

You are then able to meet the CCA’s expectations of you.

2) Change your attitude towards CCA if you have a negative thought on your CCA.

For example, if you think that CCA is boring or a waste of time, change that thought.

By being more positive about your CCA, you will be more enthusiastic about it, and be more willing to give your best effort during training.

3) Improve on your skills in your CCA, and be willing to commit time to training.

Practice makes perfect.

Control the amount of time spent on other commitments

Ensure that you have sufficient time to practise for your CCA.

In no time, with adequate commitment, you can be promoted.

4) Do not be too upset if you are not promoted to the next rank.

Practice acceptance and learn to move forward.

Take it as a lesson and learn why you did not get promoted.

Improve on yourself based on that. It is all part of a learning experience
